Employees Diwali Bonus: Great news for central government employees. Central government has announced Diwali bonus for Group-B non-gazetted officers and group-C employees for the year 2022-2023. Paramilitary personnel will also be covered under this bonus. These employees will get Diwali bonus up to Rs 7,000 maximum.
Essentially linked bonuses are employee non-productivity
The bonus is added based on their average salary to determine. For example, if an employee earns around Rs 20,000, he can get an additional bonus of Rs 19,000.
That means he will get Rs 39,000 in total. This Diwali, the amount equal to one month’s salary will be given as bonus to the non-gazetted employees of Group B and C.

According to the notification issued by the Central Government, this bonus is available to the employees who have performed continuous duty for at least 6 months in the year 2022-23.
Government will also give this bonus to temporary employees appointed on ad hoc basis. The condition is that there should be no interruption in their duties. Apart from this, the central paramilitary force employees will also get a maximum Diwali bonus of up to Rs 7,000 as an ad hoc bonus benefit.
It should be noted that there is a lot of speculation at the moment about the date of increase of the dearness allowance of the central government. According to the source, the dearness allowance will be announced in the month of Puja.
According to the index, this allowance may increase to about 3-4% of employees as well as pensioners will benefit. Discussions are already going on in the ministerial circles. Now time will tell.
