Scholarships After Madhyamik: Even if there is no financial ability, many government or private scholarships take the dream of higher education after secondary school to success. Scholarships are offered to in-state resident students at both school and college levels. This scholarship in West Bengal aims to support the meritorious, deserving and underprivileged students of the state. They are managed by subsidiary departments of the Government of West Bengal. The following scholarships can be applied for after Madhyamik (Best Scholarships After Madhyamik).
Scholarships after Madhyamik in detail
Nabanna Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Under this scholarship, the secondary school pass students will get Rs 10,000 per annum. Last date to apply for Navanna scholarship is 31 December 2023. The amount varies according to the course. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a resident of West Bengal.
- Candidate should get 65% marks in Madhyamik.
- It is better if the annual family income of the candidate is basically between Rs.2,50,000 per annum.
Required Documents
- Any educational document signed by the head of the educational institution.
- Family income certificate.
- Recommendation from MLA.
- Final Exam Marksheet.
- Copy of Rank Card.
Application Process
- The application submission process is conducted offline.
- Candidates have to download and fill the application form published by WBCMO.
- And the necessary documents should be attached with it.
- Forms will be submitted at Nabanna, Howrah, Uttarkanya, Jalpaiguri.
- Candidate must visit the venue for submission of application form and take receipt as proof of submission of application form.
- If the candidates send the application by post, the application may be rejected.

Bikash Bhawan Scholarship
West Bengal Vikas Bhavan Scholarship is an annual scholarship for meritorious students of the state (Scholarships After Madhyamik) to continue their studies. Under this scholarship, Madhyamik pass students will get up to Rs.12,000 per annum. This scholarship is also called Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Award (SVMCM). Interested candidates can apply through the official portal (Scholarships After Madhyamik) by 7th July, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a resident of West Bengal.
- Candidate should get 75% marks in Madhyamik.
- The annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed Rs.2,50,000 per annum.
- Candidates must be admitted in the next category.
- Also, Kanyashree recipients (K-2) are eligible for the Vikas Bhavan Award Scheme.

Aikyasree Scholarship
West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) offers Aikyashree Scholarship to minority students of the state. Under this scheme, students from Buddhist, Muslim, Christian and Parsi communities get scholarships from the government. Under this scholarship, the students who passed Madhyamik will get up to 33,000 rupees per annum. And the last date to apply this year is 31 December 2023 (Scholarships After Madhyamik).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must belong to minority community.
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Only students of any course from a recognized institution in the state (West Bengal) can apply for this scholarship.
- A minimum of 50% marks must be obtained in the previous examination.
- Applicants who have passed Madhyamik should have a family income of Rs 2 lakh (Scholarships After Madhyamik)

Application Process
- Visit the portal of WBMDFC for student registration.
- Now click on Fresh Registration.
- Then when the student registration page opens, all the details including applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, bank account, IFSC code and guardian’s name have to be filled.
- Now enter the state, city name, block or municipality of the applicant.
- After filling the provided captcha code and clicking the submit button, the application will be complete (Best Scholarships After Madhyamik).

Also there are several other scholarships like Tata Scholarship, GP Birla Scholarship. Due to which meritorious students of the state continue to benefit in the field of higher education (Scholarships After Madhyamik). Also, the result of the higher secondary examination is going to be published soon. In that case all the candidates who get 75% marks i.e. star marks will pass. Several high paying scholarships are also waiting for them. However, only marks above 75% will get this scholarship.
