Through the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) examination of the Staff Selection Commission, thousands of employees are recruited for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator in various central government departments. The relevant notification has been published in the 28th December, 2022 issue of ‘Karmasanskrit’.
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized Board / University. Age: Between 18 to 27 years. SC candidates will get age relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates 3 years and physically challenged candidates 10 years (SC candidates 15 years, OBC candidates 13 years).
Pay Scale: Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200 for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Rs 29,200 to Rs 12,300 for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Rs 25 for the post of Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’. 500 to 81,100 Rupees. | How to Apply: Apply online through https://ssc.nic.in website after publication of official notification.
Candidate Selection Procedure: Examination is conducted in two stages. Computer based Tier-I examination will have objective type questions of 200 marks in 1 hour duration on these subjects English Language. (Basic Knowledge) (25 Questions, 50 Marks), General Intelligence (25 Questions, 50 Marks), Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) (25 Questions, 50 Marks), General Awareness (25 Questions, 50 Marks). For each wrong answer.
Additional 0.50 marks will be deducted. If successful can participate in computer based Tier-II examination. Computer based Tier-II exam will have questions in 3 sections. of Section-I Module-I will have Mathematical Abilities (30 questions, 10 marks) and Module-II will have Reasoning and General Intelligence (30 questions, 90 marks). Module-I of Section-II will have English Language and Comprehension (40 questions, 120 marks) and Module-II will have General Awareness (20 questions, 60 marks). Module-I of Section-III will have Computer Knowledge (15 Questions, 45 Marks) and Module-II will have Skill Test / Typing Test. In the skill test for the post of data entry operator, a printed English matter has to be picked up on the computer within a time limit of 15 minutes at a depression speed of 8000 keys per hour.
The skill test for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant requires typing of 35 English words or 30 Hindi words per minute for a duration of 15 minutes. Successful candidates in Skill Test / Typing Test will be called for document verification thereafter.
