Rail news: Great news for railway workers at the beginning of Puja. They will get monthly salary with bonus equal to 78 days salary. It is known that this decision was approved in the cabinet meeting recently. Dearness allowance of central employees has also been increased by one day as expected. Some other special approvals were given in this meeting.
Which railway employees will get the benefit of additional bonus?
According to Cabinet sources, the following railway employees will get the benefits of this decision of the government. But RPF/RPSF employees of Railways will not get this facility.
Non-Gazetted Track Maintainer
Loco pilot
Train Manager (Guard)
station master
Supervisor
the technician
Technician Helper
Pointsman
Ministerial employee
Other ‘C’ group employees.
It may be noted that the performance of Railways was very good in 2022-2023. This financial year, the Railway Recote carried around 6.5 billion passengers and transported 1509 million tonnes of freight. So this bonus will be given to motivate the railway employees to further improve their performance. Today, Anurag Thakur said that after announcing the bonus, 1968.86 crores will be spent to pay bonus to 11,07,346 railway employees.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur also informed after the Cabinet meeting. Union Cabinet has approved increase in Dearness Allowance of government employees by 4 percent to 46 percent as expected. Plans for implementation of this DA have already started. Also the minimum MSP of wheat for 2024-2025 crop season has been increased to Rs 150 per quintal. 2,275 Rs.
