The West Bengal Government has launched the Lakshmi Bhandar Yojana to provide financial assistance to women for their daily needs.
Lakhsmir Bhandar Payment Update: West Bengal Government has launched Lakshmir Bhandar Yojana to help women financially for their daily needs. 500 will be given to female heads of general families by the state government. And under this program female heads of ST or SC families will get 1000 rupees. The State Department of Women and Child Welfare estimates that the program will also strengthen the rural and urban economy of the state. Meanwhile, the customers of Lakshmi Bhandar are not getting money for a long time. This time, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced in the meeting to solve that problem (Lakhsmir Bhandar Payment Update).
Decision taken at the meeting
According to the decision taken in the noon function at the Nabanna meeting hall with the ministers, secretaries and district magistrates of each department,
- A total of 40 lakh 94 thousand customers of Govt will be served today under 6th Duar.
- This service will cost the government more than Rs 327 crore.

- Lakshmir Bhandar
- Widow’s Allowance
- Farmer Friend (Krishak Bandhu)
- Kanyashree
- Swasthya Sathi
- In several other special projects including food companions.
Payment Update in details
- About 41 lakh customers will start paying the following schemes today.
- Lakshmi Bhandar – A total of 10 lakh 81 thousand 554 new female customers will be served
- Krishak Bandhu Scheme – A total of 1 lakh 53 thousand 846 new customers will get service
- Kanyashree Scheme – A total of 1 lakh 59 thousand 162 people will be served.
- Widow Allowance – 1 lakh 11 thousand 389 subscribers will be served.
- Free Social Security Scheme – 106 lakh 46 thousand 616 subscribers will get service.
Incidentally, keeping in mind the panchayat elections, the tenure of the Duare government has been extended to reach people from door to door. More services are planned from April 20 to April 30 (Lakhsmir Bhandar Payment Update).
