It is known that the government will give free ration from December to individuals subject to special conditions. The conditions are-Free ration will not be provided if a customer owns 100 km land, and own flat or house.
Free ration will not be given if the annual income of a rural customer is Rs 2-3 lakh or more.
Free ration will not be available if a customer has a driving license or owns a tractor.
Why will the ration card be canceled?
The central government has suggested linking every important document with Aadhaar card recently. One of these is the ration card. The central government has directed to definitively link Aadhaar card with ration card by October 31, 2023. Except the ration card of those customers who have not linked the ration card with the Aadhaar card within this period will be cancelled.

Basically, many helpless individuals and families are benefited by the government through these rations viz. There are also those who take ration despite their financial condition not being in dire straits. Or double ration. The government has heard about such dishonest customers. The government has ordered KYC on its own behalf so that all these people can be traced.
